International Women's Day

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March each year around the world.

IWD recognises how much has been achieved by women worldwide in their fight for equal rights and working conditions and how far some have yet to go.

While women enjoy more opportunities than ever before, the area of pay equity remains an issue, particularly in the light of the Federal Government’s WorkChoices law.
