Electrical work training permits

Electrical work training permit allows a person to undertake particular training and gain the specific experience needed to meet the eligibility requirements for an electrical work licence.

Permit holders may be required to complete a structured on-the-job program, coordinated by a supervising registered training organisation(s).

The following persons do not require a permit to complete training:

• electrical apprentices
• trainees undergoing an approved program
• students of electrical work being supervised by teaching staff at an approved university, college or school

Apply for your electrical work licence on the application for electrical work licence once you have acquired relevant experience.
