You need to renew your electrical contractor licence annually.

If your licence is due for renewal but you have not received a renewal notice in the mail, phone 1300 362 320.

You cannot renew your licence online if details of your qualified persons have changed.

Renew your electrical contractor licence online

Use this application to renew an electrical contractor licence due to expire, or reinstate an electrical contractor licence which has expired in the last 12 months.

You cannot renew or reinstate your electrical contractor licence if:

In these circumstances you will need to apply for a new electrical contractor licence.

At this stage you cannot renew your licence online if details of your qualified persons have changed. If your qualified person details have changed you must complete a change of qualified person form (PDF, 88KB). Post this form together with your renewal application to the postal address provided.
